Day 6: finally we move & cache at Kahiltna pass
Finally we have a some visibility and a little sun so we get moving and do a cache day with all the gear that we will not need for another 2-3 days. It is a very long day up and down from camp 1 to reach the cache site at 3000m. 7hours of climbing with heavy packs, snowshoes and roped in. Getting to Kahiltna pass it is -15c and windy, hands freeze in seconds due to the cold wind. Kai digs the cache we throw our gear inside and pack it back. 5 1/2 hours up, 1 1/2 hours down. Marc is not feeling well as we get back to camp. The push was prob a bit too intense for him at this stage of the expedition.
Sarah sends me a message on the Garmin inreach as we get back to camp. It’s been 2 days since we traded messages. It’s hard to be away from her and Oscar.
