Motorcycling trip from Montréal to upstate New York

A short international motorcycling trip?? that had not happened in a very very long time. My last one dates back to 2012 with David Doutrelugne on the Tibetan plateau with our KTM adventure 990.

Meeting up with long time friend Dan Barufaldi. Dan and I rode 15,000km around the USA in 2003 on our sportbikes. This is our first ride together since. We agreed to meet at Saranac Lake, upstate New York for a 2-day trip. Dan is riding north from Chatham, I am riding south from Montreal. We meet at hotel Saranac, grab some lunch, catch up on our lives, have a nice dinner and Dan takes me through the wonders of BMW navigator V (aka Garmin Zumo), and the route creation on the basecamp software. Things have changed significantly since the early 2000’s and the map only motorcycle trips! (There was mapquest of course but it was not that great)

Almost at Saranac
Dan arrives at the hotel half hour after me
Walking around Saranac lake
Basecamp road routing private class
