Exped day 13: Training day up to the ridge

May 17 / Weather: cloudy and snowy / Altitude: 4300 -> 4900 -> 4300

We can’t make the summit push for now so instead of staying in camp we have decided to head back up to the col at 4900m where the cache is so we can train and keep in shape and acclimatized.

On the way up, its beautiful, amazing, breathtaking, awe-inspiring. The sea of clouds covers the world up to 3500 meters. Only 2 mountains appear outside of the clouds: Mount Foraker and Mount Hunter.

Bad weather is supposed to come in soon. Tomorrow we have a rest day and weather day.

We are trying to plan for the summit window. It’s difficult but we should have a shot in the coming days.

    Glad you took the time to take those photos, it seemed so normal at the time, and so surreal and distant already now…
